Three local charities were delighted to receive the proceeds from activities organised by Stockton Heath Festival 2018.
· Spending an hour watching the birds in your garden this weekend will help provide the RSPB with an annual snapshot of the UK’s garden birds as more than half-a-million people take part in Big Garden Birdwatch.
· Getting involved in the world’s largest garden wildlife survey is easy – simply spend an hour counting the birds that visit your garden and submit your results online.
· Some resident British birds such as greenfinches, chaffinches, blue tits, great tits and long-tailed tits should be showing in good numbers after a positive breeding season and favourable winter weather conditions.
Ride4Darbs is an annual bike ride to raise money for research into the causes of Motor Neurone Disease with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for this terrible disease.
Bea is a beautiful miniature Shetland pony who lives at Cheshire Dogs’ Home. She is a very popular resident who is adored by staff, volunteers and visitors. This sweet natured little pony is happy and settled in her forever home where she receives all the love, care and attention she needs for a happy, healthy life.
Host a Blooming Great Tea Party this June
Marie Curie is calling on people of Warrington and Stockton Heath to hold a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of the charity this June.
Get together with friends, family or colleagues for a tea party, bake sale or tea-riffic tea-break between 23rd - 25th June. Your tea and cake will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support for people living with a terminal illness, and their families.
On the evening of Thursday 23rd February, Members of the Epiphany Trust, Rotarians and their friends, enjoyed a charity “Indian Banquet with Entertainment” at the RAJ RESTAURANT in Culcheth.
